They are very busy during dinner timeo, but its worth the wait, friendly service, food is yummy!

We've been coming here since they opened and I'm happy to say quality remains great! While restaurants everywhere have had increase in prices it's seems to have hit harder here but since quality remains high they will continue to have our business. Plus staff is always so nice, it's like visiting with family. My favorites include ceviche, carnitas, shrimp quesadillas and Lanikai Chile Relleno. My husband is also is a fan of their Menudo so great options all around.

We came in on Valentine's day to get some late lunch, the food was amazing and it was busier than we expected. We noticed one of the older servers (she had an accent) was arguing with the younger server (hapa girl) infront of us about who had our table. The younger one tried to tell her to not argue infront of customers but the older one seemed to not care. I just wanted to let that young server know she handled that very well and she was an amazing server. We will be back again hopefully without conflict lol!!

Loved this place! Great service and great vibes. Might be the best authentic Mexican food on Oahu.

Quick, friendly and yummy. Chile Relleno is great if you're looking for the basics. We ordered enchiladas and quesadillas and I have no complaints on taste. We've only dined in so now I want to try how their takeout travels!

My second visit and it was a almost good as the first time middle of 2024. Went for hubby's first birthday meal since he loves Mexican. Service - 5 stars. We were there the day after new years so it was slow. We were greeted immediately by a very nice and friendly server who sat us. Glasses of water came quickly. She was also ready to take our order right away. Food - 4.5 stars. Still the best (IMO) Mexican food on Island. Here they give one basket of chips and salsa complimentary, a rarity now days. Chips were good but not great. Baskets are all prefilled and waiting to be served, and ours had quite a bit of broken pieces. Salsa was good. Had the tamale plate again and this time the tamale were even better than I remember. Masa was light and delicious. Pork filling was great. Salad was delicious. Rice was delicious. Refried beans could have used more cheese and salt. Daughter had the Kalua pork chimichanga - which she always gets and enjoys. Her BF decided to try the breakfast burrito. He liked it but not as much as whatever his go to is. Hubby got two crispy tacos, one was kalua pork, the other shredded beef. He really liked his tacos. Nice to be able to order two different meats, cuz last place we went the other week wouldn't allow that. Fried ice cream was good, not great. Didn't have that freshly fried outside taste. One option that I wish they would have are combination plates where you can select your two entrees because I also love cheese enchiladas and would be so happy to be able to order one tamale and one enchilada. I guess I should have asked, will do so next time.

This is the closest you'll get to Mexican food like what you'd get in California. But even more so, they actually do a couple things better. The appetizers we ordered were guacamole and ceviches and the portions are generous. The plate I ordered was a Super Burrito with ground beef and it was really good -tender and juicy -tortilla was excellent It was filling and I cleaned up the plate real good. Most places, the Spanish rice is dry and flavorless and the refried beans came out of a can but here it was the opposite. -The rice was puffy and flavorful and the beans were not pasty. The Horchata is homemade and delicious so you don't need to worry about that fake Horchata that a lot of Mexican places use-if you don't order it you're missing out Great interior and seating that reflects the Mexican aesthetic and the servers were really nice and served us really well. 5 out of 5 from me, looking forward to coming back here!

Dare I say.. this is my current favorite spot in Kaneohe?!?! I've been a few times and always leave so happy and full. It has not missed a beat for me. Granted my stomach is just so full and heavy by the end of it but that's on me for overeating--I can't help it, it's delicious. I want to keep trying more of the menu but I love my carnitas plate. I see some other items that look good so I'll be sure to try and report back. Others I've been with have also enjoyed their food, and to top it off the service has always been great. Such friendly staff and so on top of it even if the place is busy! Would recommend. Not sure about "authenticity" or anything like that, but it's a great meal overall!

Terrific Mexican food! Best I've had on the island. There was only one waitress when we went, she was overseeing multiple tables, yet she still managed to provide excellent customer service! She consistently checked on us and was very friendly. For an appetizer we had the queso skillet: cheesy goodness! For our mains, we ordered a traditional burrito and a carne asada and shrimp burrito special. Both of which were delicious. Chile Relleno is a must-go for your Mexican food cravings!

We just moved here from Los Angeles and were immediately on the hunt for good Mexican food. When we moved into our new home and saw this across the street we knew we had to give it a try. So glad we did! Now after trying a few different spots on the island, we can absolutely say this is our favorite. Toco Tuesday and Thursday gets you amazing street tacos. Street tacos are smaller than normal tacos, so get 4-5 per person. Carnitas and chorizo are my favorite! The taco salad with ground beef is also my go to. Well seasoned ground beef! Not greasy. Nice crispy shell. And the kicker. The mama Mia sauce! It's a chipotle cream sauce that is good on everything! It's a small place, with three six person tables, three two person tables and a handful of booths. It gets busy! Don't expect to come on a Friday night and not have a wait. But the service is amazing, and they are always happy to recommend things they like! I think this is the first place we will be 'regulars' at.
